Bringing God's people together to serve God's people in need

Meals On Wheels

Meals on Wheels has been serving disabled and home bound residents of Calhoun County for the past 25 years.  Approximately 75-80 hot wholesome meals are delivered five days a week to individuals. The meals are prepared by Stringfellow Hospital Food Services with each client’s specific dietary needs considered.

The meals are delivered by volunteers. Currently we have a waiting list for persons who are in need of these meals, but we do not have enough volunteers to add delivery routes. We accept volunteers through churches, work places, or even individuals who pass a simple screening process.  We prefer for 2 persons to drive a route together.  We can accommodate persons who want to drive multiple days a week, one day a week or even alternate weeks.  We also have a pool of substitutes drivers who are called as needed.
